Mega download functions the same way as Telegram app, when you download stuff from Mega, the file is being stored in the local storage but in a specified folder other than the 'Downloads' one, but when the download completes, the 'save' dialog is actually Mega asking your permission to move the file to Downloads just like in Telegram, you tap Is this a failure of Mega to decrypt it's own encryption or did you use a third party encryption tool as well?
