Bg3 lae zel build reddit My Tav is a Bard/Warlock (and Shadowheart completes the party as a Light Cleric) because I'm not the biggest fan of spellcaster-spellcasters ("Magicians 46 votes, 58 comments. Gloomstalker is perfectly strong leveled up but is much better comparatively for a low level dip - has synergy with the fighter multiclass, or at least should as Jeremy Crawford stated Dread Ambusher works with Action Surge turn 1. :) My Dual Wield party member is the Rogue who just shreds the opposition with dual Hand Crossbows and dual Finesse blades. The only only exception would be the classic Paladin 5/Blade Warlock 5/Fighter 2 Any other combination will reduce your amount of Attacks/round even though they may offer more utility or even higher damage potential. Lae’zel makes a really good/convincing Paladin for sure. Karlach TB thrower for range and shart as supporter, it’s a great party for a „no chance for the opposition“ playthrough because fights end within 2 turns without haste. At first I wanted to make her a Monk, but decided to try that build on Karlach instead, in order to utilize her race/soul coin abilities. Lae’zel left me because I chose to become a mindflayer to spare Orpheus of such a fate and for the betterment of the Githyanki as a whole. Those dice on Gale really help. I usually pick the EK sub-class for Lae’zel. I like this because it seems pretty strong, with some good potential for burst damage. A community all about Baldur's Gate III, the role-playing video game by Larian Studios. Bae'zel slightly more because her arc is huge in terms of character development, but I use both; Karlach as a Barbarian Berserker and Lae'zel as a Fighter/Rogue that dual wields hand crossbows. Baldur's Gate III is based on a modified version of the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition (D&D 5e) tabletop RPG ruleset. Doing damage is a cherry on top, but not the focus of the build. Still feel myself unusually when my main character isn’t main in dialogues, and the discount given by traders is only 9% (previously I had 40%). You can also fit a spores druid 2 dip in a lot of martial builds for the extra necrotic damage and haste spores from the armor. Would you believe me if I told you this requires only two classes? And it can be achieved by level 5. For Lae’Zel I gave her 18 STR and 16 CON bc she’s my beefy girl. You'll rarely miss with that setup, and you'll crit ~19% of the time, on 3 attacks per turn while raging. I’ve tried multiple times now to do a Lae’Zel origin run. It's to the point that your character gets an option to ask why she's started addressing him/her less gruffly. Her role is keeping enemies where they belong: near her and away from everyone else. Lae’zel: War cleric of Vlaakith, Vengeance paladin (possibly both as a multiclass), or a Fighter/Wizard multiclass such as EK 7/Wizard 5 to make her a real Gish. Title. Lae’zel’s personal content is the same as for other origin characters in the act 1 (ok, maybe, Astarion has more than others). I don’t want to her to multiclass into rogue because I want all my mains to have seperate classes (Tav and Bardlock, Astarion a Gloomstalker Assassin, Shadowheart a Tempest Cleric) 413 votes, 76 comments. There's 2 reasons for wanting hybrid throw/melee: first, I want to have the silver sword equipped (for RP reasons and the great gith bonuses), and secondly there are a number of fights in act III with low ceilings that are harder for throws. 3 days ago · Enjoy playing as The best Lae’zal Build in Baldur’s Gate 3! Lae’zel Changes in Patch 7 for BG3 Baldur’s Gate Patch 7 (Image via Larian Studios) The release of Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 only impacted Lae’zel with minor bug fixes and dialogue additions. This will offer Ability Checks dialog options, rather than Saving Throws. This may seem weird, but i always thought of war cleric as a great 1 level dib. Menacing attack and Riposte make you much more likely to get an attack off with her reaction (menacing will have the enemy run away, and riposte gives a counterattack if the enemy misses). Cleric, War Domain: Lae’zel is a warrior and staunch follower of Vlaakith (who is a deity choice for clerics). The run would be as follows: The theme of the run is redemption. I thus lost my run to the captain lady fearing my whole party on round one with initiative. Champion is very simple and hits hard. If you’re new to the game however, BM (ranged or melee) is a simple a powerful build. However, Lae’zel’s Fighter build, combat, and gameplay elements remained Tav - Swords Bard (mostly using this build, the bow damage is really great). Lae'zel gets her own bonuses that also aren't particularly important to the build, though using psionic leap to get high ground crushing bonuses ain't bad. so I have three ideas how to do it Best BG3 Lae'Zel Build. I want Lae'zel to do two things: Be the "tank" and use the Githyanki equipment when possible (no disguise shenanigans with other characters). I like Lae,zel, she is a prick at first but then you realize that her entire race is like that, they are born and raised like this, she doesn't know anything else, but the more you play with her and the more you teach her about mercy, morals and the goodness inside the other races you can see how she starts to understand and become softer, she still retains her bad Lae’zel (or any Gith) holds the answer. Though I could see him as a fiendlock with Raphael as his patron for your head canon. Planning to try Lae'zel origin honor run as Fighter/War Cleric of Vlaakith but I kinda don't want to be just fighter 1 for con proficiency or warpriest 1 for free attack instead being more equal tipe of build. Monk, Way of the Open Hand: This is simply reimagining Lae’zel as a Githzerai who utilizes martial arts much like Prince Orpheus We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. This is simply emphasizing these two points while keeping her formidable on the frontline. 120K subscribers in the BG3 community. it might not fully utilize lae'zel's strength-based build, so you might need to adjust her stats or gear. Casting builds that don't spec into Bard/Sorcerer seem to fall into this category. My first idea was to run her as Paladin (pallock) but I feel like it doesn't suit her very well. But Lae'zel is up front more, so having that on her would be better, I think. Even with Eldritch Strike, you're better off walloping ne'er-do-wells than trying to target a saving throw. Early on War Cleric is pretty amazing. Melee Warlock could work too if you pretend that it's a pact made to the Absolute. I really like this build because the vengeance paladin seems really great from an RP perspective for where I am (very beginning of Act 3) and stays true to what I'm thinking of Lae'zel's whole aesthetic. Of specifically those two? I would say Giant Slayer is better, although if it is just those two I am 100% giving Laezel her Silver Sword and she is going to skip through Lower City like I gave a Pigtailed girl of 7 a lollipop. I haven’t made a melee-focused EK yet but it’s on the list. Minthara - Gloomstalker Ranger could fit the "relentless huntress" vibe. Very nasty. I don't see much point in pumping INT for an Eldritch Knight. So the strength barb gets hit slightly more often, but the unarmored barbarian should get hit exactly as often as Lae'zel. And in case folks don't know, BG3 uses a d4 system for initiative, rather than a d20. I can't think of anything better than just going 12 levels as a Battle Master fighter. Lae'zel can actually learn to live for herself even if you save Orpheus, although it might be contingent on the player character romancing her. Best lvl 1 EK spells are Longstrider, Protection From Good and Evil, and Shield. I just reached level 11 in early act 3 and I'm looking to re-spec Lae'zel for the rest of act III into a hybrid thrower / melee build. Gather your party and venture forth! Pretty straightforward as everyone knows 11 Fighter+ is already one of the strongest martials, and there's no reason to build away from this for Lae'zel. Karlach - Same as Lae'zel, anything that has her as a frontline warrior would work. Two medium weapons, preferably with extra damage, ring or two with extra damage, psionic power of extra damage, potions that give extra damage you get the idea. I've tried both Lae'zel and Astarion and Lae'zel puts out more damage by level 3, and way more damage at level 4. It can't get much better than this assuming it even can. Now, I specifically recommend using this on Lae'zel (or a custom Githyanki character) because of the ability Githyanki Psionics: Jump. assuming you want to keep those three as their default classes, a charisma based caster/ranged would fit right in both for combat and talking purposes. Best Lvl 2 EK Spells are Blur, Magic Weapon (for aggressive GWM builds), or Hold Person (for Arcane Accuity builds). I’m in my second playthrough and looking for a cool new build for Lae'zel. People only talk about Karlach in this context because she starts as a Lae'zel is a very strong companion and a good choice to build around. Minthara: Cleric of Lolth (her backstory), or just keep as a Paladin (or multiclass them). Sep 29, 2023 · This combination in conjunction with all the other Fighter stuff makes Lae'zel a real killing machine. It requires you to reach the Githyanki crèche to The basis of the build is using Arcane Synergy and Warmagic (EK level 7 passive) to give us 1 Cantrip + One enhanced attack per turn. Maybe it’s because I had him in camp for a while, but when I finally took him out, he bombarded her with ‘I’ve never seen someone like you, Lae’zel’, ‘You’re so special, Lae’zel’, ‘You have such beautiful eyes, Lae’zel’, ‘Do you believe in love at first sight, Lae’zel?’. Asterion makes a good bard/rogue. The sheer utility of maneuvers that both do extra damage and apply various conditions is completely overpowered for the type of game BG3 is. Hiya! I want to try to make Lae’zel a monk this go-around because I want her to wear the laughing amulet and have a little giggle. What the title says. I don't think Druids, Wizards and Warlocks do much with their bonus action beyond the occasional Misty Step. Nothing will beat 3 Attacks/round of Fighter 11. This is a full build guide for progression and my idea behind the build in general. I currently have a 'very good' relationship with her after turning in the goblin camp quest and the find the druid quest with the Tiefling leader, but when I go to talk to Lae'zel at camp she only has dialogue about how much she likes my character's sweat and references a fight with a neogi. Nope. But at level 6, I'm in a conundrum about what to do with Lae'zel. Im planing to do my first tactician run, with the idea of prioritizing role playing instead of optimal builds, and while i have pretty much everything else figured out i need a little help with ideas fo the build for Lae'zel. So dumping STR isn't an option So there are some options: 11 EK 1 Wizard 11 EK 1 War Cleric X EK Y Abjuration Wizard (here I have no clue about the split and timing when to add what level) Subreddit dedicated to the creation, sharing, and helping others with their character or party builds for Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Studios. This is an interesting response, thanks! I think my issue with Lae'zel is more on the tangent that you don't need to have a hero complex to earn her disapproval, some of what she dislikes is because "you're wasting time pursuing a path involving a non-Githyanki cure" and the interactions that follow from that, but some of it is just "Let's not do something that hurts our chances of surviving Lae'zel. She's also plenty handy with a bow. I'm putting together my next run and I plan to maximize potential for all origin characters, which is going to involve multiclassing with everyone but Lae'zel.
